LIDERANÇA, ESTILO DE PENSAMENTO CRIATIVO E INCENTIVOS PARA O DESEMPENHO NO TRABALHO EM STARTUPS

Resumo

Objetivo: O objetivo geral deste estudo é examinar, inicialmente, a relação entre liderança (transformacional versus transacional) e estilo de pensamento criativo (divergente versus convergente), depois a relação entre estilo de pensamento criativo e desempenho no trabalho e, por fim, se esta última relação depende do uso de incentivos.

Método: Utilizou-se de levantamento com gestores de startups, em fase de Scaleup, cadastradas na ABStartups (Associação Brasileira de Startups). A partir das 96 respostas obtidas, os dados foram analisados por meio de modelagem de equações estruturais, pelo método dos mínimos quadrados parciais.

Resultados: Conforme as hipóteses, demonstra-se que liderança transformacional (transacional) possui relação positiva com pensamento divergente (convergente). Além disso, ambos os estilos de pensamento criativo possuem relação positiva com desempenho no trabalho. Por fim, o uso de incentivos influencia apenas a relação entre pensamento convergente e desempenho no trabalho, mas não a relação entre pensamento divergente e desempenho no trabalho.

Contribuições: As principais implicações práticas desses resultados são que as organizações precisam considerar o estilo de pensamento criativo desejado na definição do perfil de liderança, para que, assim, seus líderes possam estimular os níveis desejados de criatividade. Além disso, o uso de esquemas de incentivo pode ser mais eficiente para motivação do pensamento convergente em processos criativos.
